VEERANARAYANA TEMPLE, BELAVADI

It was the first long bike trip I had planned with my wife and we decided to go to Kyatanamakki Hills. We were 3 couples - Myself and my wife Selvi, Vinod and Lakshmi, Vijay and Sushma

By now you should be aware that Iam more passionate about Archeological Temples which are WOW. Veeranarayana Temple in Belavadi was one of the temple which i had been waiting to visit for a long time. We had planned to visit this temple on the way to Kyatanamakki.

We departed Blore on 13Oct23 early morning around 6.00AM and on the way we had a quick breakfast in a small hotel and moved on with our journey towards Belavadi. Belavadi is a small and beautiful village and we reached there at around 11.30 AM.

We entered the temple and the scene of the temple while entering was WOW. Luckily the temple was empty with no crowds and the priest was able to spend time with us explaining about the temples. Here are few facts

This the only Hoysala temple which was not attacked by any external enemies
There are 3 Gods and seeing the god you will get
The Krishna Idol is being considered as most beautiful Krishna face among all Krishna in temples
Yoga Narasimha sanctum - The lord was so beautiful and the feeling standing in front of lord could not be explained and we just stood silently for nearly more that 20 Mins.

It was a pleasant temple and worst visiting them. Here are few pictures of temple.
