It was annual trip during December vacation of 2022, we went to Kumta along with 4 other Families. Tarakeshwara Temple in Hangal was one of the major temples in my wish list.
We departed Kumta on 29dec22 early morning and on the way we planned to visit Tarakeshwara Temple in Hangal. We reached the temple around 3.00PM.
The Tarakeshwara Temple is architecture marvel and one should definitely visit for the minute carvings influences by Hoysala Architecture. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Tarakeshwara. A large lotus shaped ceiling which also can be seen as Chandelier in the main entrance of the temple is the major attraction.
